We take care of our skin, face, and hair to look fresh and beautiful. Our body is the most beautiful creation of God. We need to take care of it both inside and outside. Our outside beauty makes us look beautiful whereas our inside beauty keeps us healthy and nourishing life.
In today’s world heart disease is a cause of a maximum number of deaths. Why so much heart disease?? One of the basic reasons is lifestyle changes. This lifestyle gradually builds layers of plaque in our arteries over years. When this plaque level increase, the transportation of oxygen-rich blood to other organs become difficult. To lead a healthy life, we need to include the following food items for better functioning of our arteries and heart.
- ASPARAGUS: Asparagus is rich in fibers and minerals. Having these long green sticks helps in reducing your blood pressure levels and inflammation levels. Further, it also produces antioxidants to get rid of toxins from our blood.
- TURMERIC: The medicinal benefits of turmeric are endless. Apart from being a regular spice being used in Asian cuisines, it has several other advantages. The presence of a special substance called curcumin in turmeric helps in keeping down the inflammatory levels of our body. Further, it also helps in the prevention of the hardening of arteries. If arteries are soft, blood flow becomes smooth.
- GREEN TEA: Green tea has become today’s digestion drink. Anyone having a heavy meal simply enjoys green tea and gets rid of bloating and heaviness. The presence of antioxidant properties in green tea does not allow the formation of plaque inside the arteries. This in turn helps you maintain the average cholesterol level and makes your heart healthy.
- FATTY FISH: There are several fatty fish like tuna, sardines, and salmon which are rich in Omega 3. Having these forms of fish in your diet helps in lowering your triglycerides level and helps in lowering the possibility of the formation of blood clots.
- WATERMELON: Watermelon is the juiciest and tastiest food to be enjoyed during scorching summers. The presence of amino acids in watermelon helps in the relaxation of arteries. Further, it helps in reducing body fat and lowering LDL levels in our body.
- BEETS: Beets are rich in minerals, folate, and fiber and do have anti-inflammatory properties. They are also very rich in Vitamin C. They help in reducing inflammation in blood vessels.
- BERRIES: Berries are good for arteries due to the presence of fibers and minerals and again help in reducing inflammation.
- LEAFY VEGETABLES: Leafy vegetables like kale and spinach are the solution to any health-related issue in this world. For every second problem, the doctor advises having green leafy vegetables. The presence of nitrates in them keeps our hearts healthy.
