We anxiously wait for monsoons after harsh and scorching summers. Every season has its own relevance and importance; but monsoon brings out the child in everyone. I personally
love this season; apart from water clogging and traffic jams in city. The smell of wet earth,
the sipping of hot tea, hot pakoras, greenery, etc. rejoices both our mind & heart.
But every coin has two sides. Every season bring changes in our daily routine and our life.
Our skin exposure to outside world is much larger than any other organ of our body. Our
skin becomes dull, darker and unhealthy due to humidity during rainy season. Whether your skin type is oily or dry; we all are home to infections and acne. Let’s talk few ways to keep it healthy in this season.
- CLEANSING: This step or method helps in removing excess oil and dirt from our skin.
There are different face wash available on market shelves to help us out. But we can
try this homemade pack from granny’s basket once in 3-4 days. Take one teaspoon
of gram flour; add few drops of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of curd. You can add a pinch of turmeric powder to get that glow. Apply for 15 minutes and remove gently. It can work wonders in this season for your skin. - FLAKING OFF: We should go for flaking off or exfoliation of skin at least 2 times a week to remove dead skin cells from our face and neck area. Basically in a layman language, it is a way of scrubbing. We can use coffee grounds as base for preparing
this scrub. Add 1 tablespoon honey, 1 tablespoon olive oil to three tablespoons of
coffee. Gently massage your face with this scrub to remove dead skin. - MOISTURIZING: Moisturizing skin is required round the year, but it becomes more necessary during this spell of year. Aloe Vera gel with olive oil can be used for moisturizing our skin. It helps in regaining elasticity of our skin.
Try out these home remedies this monsoon along with healthy food. Live healthy and eat healthy.
